Indie is part of a wave of relatively new breweries invading one of Toronto's few remaining untouched neighbourhoods. That may be an overstatement given how fast Toronto changes. In and around the junction area you'll find Halo, Burdock, Bandit, Henderson's and, farthest north along Dundas Street West, Indie Alehouse. However, Indie looks and feels as though its been there forever. Brewmaster, Jeff Broeders commands the compact brewery hidden behind the bar. The beer is excellent and the food is comfortably stylish.
