About MASH

At MASH, we study the culture of craft beer in Canada.

Micro brewing is a rapidly-growing industry populated with entrepreneurial brewers who are competitive, collaborative, and always inventive. We focus on stories about the people who are driving Craft Beer innovation – what inspires and drives them.

We connect the dots across the country. We delve into the history of beer in Canada and around the world. We look at the socio-economic impacts and challenges facing the industry, and the intense importance of community and sustainability that permeates Craft Beer culture.

Our aim is to create a beautiful magazine that is thoughtful, refined, and fiercely independent. We are determined to be challenging, relevant and well read.

Our first two issues include contributions from some of Canada’s foremost writers on craft beer. The roster includes Kelly Brisson, Erica Campbell, Jason Foster, Rebecca Grima, Derek Harrison, Noah Forrest, Ben Johnson, Robin Leblanc, Susannah Kiernan, Alan McLeod, David Ort, Craig Pinhey, Crystal Luxmore, Joe Wiebe, Felicity Roberts, Ian Zeschky and Nick Blagrave.

While MASH maintains an overall editorial policy of independence, integrity, accuracy and, most importantly, fun, the views expressed by our contributors are their own.

MASH Magazine is independently owned, and is distributed through craft brewery outlets across Canada, as well as select bars, pubs and restaurants. You can also subscribe now and have MASH delivered to your door. Sign up for our emails below to receive notice of the latest news and sneak peaks at upcoming issues.
